After 20 years as a stylist, with the last seven being a salon owner, I have soaked up every bit of information I could get my hands on; staying on top of education and the latest trends. I take great pride in being an owner, and I will continue to be the best salon owner I can for my team as well as our clients!

Two years ago, my life behind the chair quickly shifted into a direction that further advanced my career when I received my certification in a handtied extension method called Invisible Bead Extensions (IBE). I found a new exciting focus and I wanted to dive in headfirst, learn everything I could within this company, perfecting this method and seeing how far I could go. I now have one of four master certifications with IBE and I am solely handtied extensions stylist. My goal in the next few years is to receive my master certifications in the remaining three areas of Invisible Bead Extensions and continue to grow Studio L Salon!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I have wanted to be a stylist for as long as I can remember. I started out with my Barbie dolls and baby dolls as a child and moved on to my high school friends until I graduated beauty school. I was destined to be a stylist and have loved every second.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it be in my flower beds or going for a walk. I enjoy cooking, I like to bring my creativity to the dinner table.

What color describes your personality and why?

Yellow. I am always cheerful and happy. I bring sunshine wherever I go!

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

Clarifying shampoo – I’m a bit of a clean freak. Cleanliness is next to godliness!

I started my magical journey into the glamor industry 20 years ago. I believe that every single person that visits my chair is a gorgeous, new canvas! Men, women and children … curly or straight … cut or color … I love any challenge and am committed to making everyone happy with how they look after I have seen them!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I have always had a major hair stylist inside me. All of my childhood dolls ended up with fantastic fingernail polish and low lights and things along those lines! My deep passion for transforming others to their best potential has grown through the years as I help others feel better about themselves.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

When I’m not working to bring out people’s natural beauty, I’m chasing my crazy kids around or watching movies with my awesome husband. I also try to find time for working on many various projects like repainting rooms, landscaping, restoring old furniture … the list could go on forever!

What color describes your personality and why?

I don’t see how I could choose just one color to describe myself. Tie dye would have to be the closest! I’m an explosion of all the bright and pretty things!

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

It would be hair chalk – sometimes you just gotta bring a little pop of fun times wherever you go!

I’m 43 and have been in this industry since I was 18. I’ve seen styles come and go but I love it when clients do what they are comfortable in.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

As a young girl, I was a salon brat. My mom managed a salon and I loved being around all the stylist and soon began to dream of being a stylist.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

I’m a mom to 3 busy kids. You can find me at a softball or baseball field!

What color describes your personality and why?

Green! It reminds me of abundant life … living and healthy!

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

‘Kenra 25 spray’ I keep everything together. Although a little flexible it still stays strong.

I’ve been doing hair since 2008. I can service the whole family. Clipper cuts, extensions, Brazilian Blow-Outs. Redken, Paul Mitchell, Lanza color certified.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

Since I was 3 my mother always said I’d be a great stylist. I absolutely love making people feel beautiful from the inside out.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

I am a full-time mother of 3 very active boys. If I’m not at work, I’m at practice.

What color describes your personality and why?

Glitter would describe me! I have a sparkly personality. I will catch your eye.

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

‘Lanza healing oil’ it’s great for all types of hair. Keeps the frizz away and leaves a healthy shine.

My name in Dakota Jo, I’ve been a stylist for over 3 years now! I specialize in “lived-in” balayage colors and am certified with IBE. I spend most of my days working or at the pig barn with my brother. My family and my cats are my world!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

My grandmother was a hairstylist since she was 16 years old, so I have been in and around the hair business my whole life. It just came natural to me; I get to be creative through all persons’ heads I touch.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

When I’m not enhancing people’s beauty you can usually find me at the school’s Ag Barn mentoring high schoolers with their pig projects for show, or at the lake with my family soaking up the summer sun.

What color describes your personality and why?

Lavender. It is soft and gentle just like my personality. It can also be a fun color to throw in the mix and add some spunk like me!

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

‘Play Dirty Texture Spray’, because I add the finishing touch that everyone needs! And of course, the texture and fun!

I started my journey in the beauty industry in 2019 and have loved every moment of it. I assisted my first year out of school, and now I’m building my own clientele.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

Growing up I always loved going to the salon and getting my hair done, to be able to use my hair to express my style was always my favorite. I knew I wanted to do that for others as well.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

Spending time with my husband and daughter either outdoor or working on some kind of project.

Purple! I dance to the beat of my own drum.

My name is Deanna, I’ve been a stylist for almost 3 years. I love doing dramatic color or cuts, it’s a fun experience for clients and for me. When you are ready to step a little out of your comfort zone, I’m your girl!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

My mom was my first inspiration into the industry. She has been in the industry for 20 years and was always doing something to my sister’s hair and mine. That led me to always styling my friends’ and family’s hair. I love helping people achieve their dream hair and making them feel their best.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

I like to spend time with my nieces and nephew. I myself am just a big kid and like to have fun. If I’m not with them I like to walk my dogs, read, or paint. I also love taking naps.

What color describes your personality and why?

Red. I am bright and energetic! I’m always loud and trying to make someone laugh and have a good time.

Dry shampoo. She always comes in handy and saves the day.

I’ve always been into beauty. I absolutely love making people feel pretty and good about themselves.

I like to workout and go listen to live music at places and meeting new people. I enjoy riding the golf cart around the property and going on adventures. I always like being outside.

Green is my favorite color. I like all nature’s natural beauty.

I love being around people and the creativity of doing hair. I enjoy making my clients feel beautiful, and seeing their reaction to my hair art.

Wait, is there anything else? JK! I love spending time with my two sweet boys, and the rest of my friends and family.

IRIDESCENT! Because of all the many changing colors and shine! When you enter my suite, you never know what you’ll get! I have a very shiny and sparkly personality.

I want to be the Wella Root Shoot because I lift people up like the root shoot and it smells delicious.

I’ve been a stylist for 5 years. I specialize in color corrections and balayages because I always enjoy a good challenge! Plus the after is even better! I also styling hair is one of my favorite parts including prom/wedding hair.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

It is something I’ve wanted to do since I was a little girl. I use to dress up my barbies’ hair non-stop, but being able to bring joy and confidence to an individual is a true blessing. I’m also a people-person, so that part came naturally.

I am at home with my wonderful family! I love spending time with my 3 crazy boys and loving husband!

Purple. I’m fun and bubbly, but also bold and I make a statement.

My time is spent with my sweet 1 year old, Micah, and amazing husband, Tyler. We love being outside and exploring East Texas  on our bikes. I always really love decorating and styling my house – I’m always changing something up!

I’ve been in the industry for 11 years. I’ve rented my own chair, had my own room and owned my own salon. After all of the areas I’ve worked in a salon, I’m where I am the happiest! Having a chair in an open concept salon to share conversation and laughter with my clients and fellow stylists!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I was a junior in high school when I became interested in the beauty industry. I styled friends hair from proms, colored mine and my sisters hair, and had the biggest teased hair around. As a senior I enrolled into the high school cosmetology program. I graduated high school and cosmetology the same year. I began my career at 18 and built a strong foundation at a salon in Henderson for 6 years. Eventually leading to opening my own salon in 2020. After having my baby I wanted to work part time and be able to spend most of my time with my little one. I decided to close my salon and work for someone else so I can come and go with the demands and leisure of my baby.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

When I’m not behind the chair you can find me at the gym or soaking up every minute with my baby boy and husband! Family & exercise is a major part of my life so I take advantage of every opportunity to enjoy it!

What color describes your personality and why?

I would say a cool blue would best describe my personality. Im a laid back and calm person. I don’t get loud and stay to myself most of the time! Im super passionate for people and want people to feel the best about themselves. I want clients to feel comfortable and at home when they sit in my chair.

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

I would say Moroccan oil. I have a thick & rich soul. It’s a product you could always have on hand for any hair texture or type. It has a simple effect that helps smooths down all the crazy. You could take it or leave it but if you invest in using it you leave better than you were found.

Hi! I’m Ashley! I’ve been a stylist for 2yrs! I love meeting new people and building relationships with my clients!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I always loved “hair day”! After being a stay at home mom for 12yrs, I decided this is what I want to do! I love the creativity that comes with being a stylist!

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

My husband and kids are my world! My son plays all the sports. My daughter tumbles and cheers. We love being outdoors! Hunting, fishing, grilling. We love it all!

What color describes your personality and why?

Pink! It can be soft and subtle or bright and sassy!

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

Conditioner! It’s like a hug for your hair! Feeling stressed and frazzled? A hug can turn that around! Same for your hair!

I moved to East Texas from the Twin Lakes area in Arkansas. I love meeting new people and have truly never met a stranger.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

From a young age I enjoyed styling my dolls. As a teenager I did all of my friends hair and makeup, and I simply never stopped.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

When I’m not at the Salon, I enjoy being in nature, or with my doggos. I also enjoy painting in my spare time.

What color describes your personality and why?

The mix of color presented in tie-dye best represents my eccentric personality.

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny (not because I’m skinny), because it smells like watermelon and I like that.

I’m a 26 year old stylist from Northern Virginia with a huge love for dimensional color. I come from a BIG & beautiful blended family & I love watching sitcoms.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

Being able to help others feel more confident and comfortable with expressing themselves, I love seeing the difference I can make in someone’s life.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

Typically spending time with my better half, baking, or trying new experiences (especially outdoors).

What color describes your personality and why?

Olive green because it’s calming yet distinct, also because it matches my eye color.

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

I would be amika: top gloss because it smells amazing & I love how it makes the hair look & feel. It’s the best finishing touch to a good beachy wave which is how I typically style my hair.

My name is Kealy Shae and I’ve been practicing my craft coming on 6 years. I really do believe I have the best job in the world. Nothing beats being able to empower women and making them feel their best.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

As a kid, I would play with my mom’s hair for hours if she would let me. In high school I styled everyone’s hair for any school event, even my teachers would ask me to make their hair look perfect for the pep rallies. That’s when I realized I had a natural talent for hair.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

When I’m not behind the chair, I’m a mama to my sweet baby girl.

What color describes your personality and why?

Blue. Im calm but fun. I want you to be able to relax and have a laugh.

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

Right now anti-humidity because duhh. There’s nothing good about humidity it feels awful and ruins your good hair day.

I have been in the hair industry for 12 years. I love all things blonding and extensions. When you sit in my chair you can be sure that I will take the integrity of your hair very serious and I will work with you to try and achieve your dream hair.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I wanted to be able to make women feel beautiful on the inside and out. Being a stylist is the most amazing mission field because I get to walk with people through their highs and lows.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

I love the outdoors. I like to ride horses, kayak, hike, bike, and go camping.

What color describes your personality and why?

Green- I have a strong connection with nature and animals. I like harmony and am a nurturing person.

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

Color Wow Dream Coat- it protects from heat and smooths frizz. I am very protective and I like to smooth things over.
