After 25 years as a stylist, with the last 10 plus being a salon owner, I have soaked up every bit of information I could get my hands on; staying on top of education and the latest trends. I take great pride in being an owner, and I will continue to be the best salon owner I can for my team as well as our clients!

In 2020, my life behind the chair quickly shifted into a direction that further advanced my career when I received my certification in a handtied extension method called Invisible Bead Extensions (IBE). I found a new exciting focus and I wanted to dive in headfirst, learn everything I could within this company, perfecting this method and seeing how far I could go. I now have one of four master certifications with IBE and I am solely handtied extensions stylist. My goal in the next few years is to receive my master certifications in the remaining three areas of Invisible Bead Extensions and continue to grow Studio L Salon!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I have wanted to be a stylist for as long as I can remember. I started out with my Barbie dolls and baby dolls as a child and moved on to my high school friends until I graduated beauty school. I was destined to be a stylist and have loved every second.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it be in my flower beds or going for a walk. I enjoy cooking, I like to bring my creativity to the dinner table.

What color describes your personality and why?

Yellow. I am always cheerful and happy. I bring sunshine wherever I go!

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

Clarifying shampoo – I’m a bit of a clean freak. Cleanliness is next to godliness!

I moved to East Texas from the Twin Lakes area in Arkansas. I love meeting new people and have truly never met a stranger.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I am a creative and I love to play with the girlies. Being a stylist and helping people feel good is such a rewarding career.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

When I am not at the salon, I enjoy being in nature or with my doggos. I enjoy painting, or any kind of crafting.

What color describes your personality and why?

I am yellow. I am sunshine.

My name is Deanna, I love doing dramatic color or cuts, it’s a fun experience for clients and for me. When you are ready to step a little out of your comfort zone, I’m your girl!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

My mom was my first inspiration into the industry. She has been in the industry for 20 years and was always doing something to my sister’s hair and mine. That led me to always styling my friends’ and family’s hair. I love helping people achieve their dream hair and making them feel their best.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

I like to spend time with my nieces and nephew. I myself am just a big kid and like to have fun. If I’m not with them I like to walk my dogs, read, or paint. I also love taking naps.

What color describes your personality and why?

Red. I am bright and energetic! I’m always loud and trying to make someone laugh and have a good time.

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

Dry shampoo. She always comes in handy and saves the day.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I love being a listening ear and while helping others feel confident. Seeing that difference I can create in someone’s life is very rewarding.

Enjoy baking in my free timeand spending time with friends & family.

What color describes your personality and why?

I would say Sage green – it’s calm, creative & reassuring. It’s also one of my favorite colors.

I’m a Texas girl, born and raised in White Oak. I’m 20 years old and love all things fashion and beauty. I’ve known for a long time that this is my passion! I love to spend time with family and friends. The beach is my happy place, but I’ll go anywhere my suitcase will roll!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I’ve always known it’s what I wanted to do go. Since I was a little girl. I use to give all my Barbies makeovers, but being able to bring joy and independence to a real person is such a blessing!

I’m a mom to three rowdy boys and a wife! I love spending all my spare time with and all my boys!

Dusty Rose. I’m warm but also not softspoken. I don’t need to be loud to be impactful. I’m very nurturing but also independent.

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

Osmo, R hair mask. I’m a safe and trustworthy person and always consistent. I hold space without judgement and always show up when it matters, not just when its convenient.

I started my journey in the beauty industry in 2019 and have loved every moment of it. I assisted my first year out of school, and learned more about the industry then even imaginable. I am always taking new clients, and would love to have the opportunity to meet you.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

Growing up I always loved going to the salon and getting my hair done, to be able to use my hair to express my style was always my favorite. I knew I wanted to do that for others as well.

Spending time with my husband and three daughters we stay pretty busy chasing babies in our house.

Purple! I dance to the beat of my own drum.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I always loved “hair day”! After being a stay at home mom for 12yrs, I decided this is what I want to do! I love the creativity that comes with being a stylist!

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

My husband and kids are my world! My son plays all the sports. My daughter tumbles and cheers. We love being outdoors! Hunting, fishing, grilling. We love it all!

Pink! It can be soft and subtle or bright and sassy!

Conditioner! It’s like a hug for your hair! Feeling stressed and frazzled? A hug can turn that around! Same for your hair!

I’m Jayde, an East Texas native and cosmetologist with 8 years behind the chair. I specialize in color and creating dimensional, lived-in looks that feel natural, effortless, and tailored to you.

I believe great hair should fit your real life, not complicate it, and I love helping my clients feel confident, refreshed, and completely themselves.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I’ve had a passion for the Industry Since I was a little girl and after 20 years, I still bring that same energy to every client in my chair. For me, hair isn’t just a service, its a connection, its confidence, and a little magic behind the chair.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

When I’m not doing hair, I’m more than likely cheering my kids on from the sidelines. From football games to marching Band and Colorguard competitions to trips to see my boy in college. I’m a boymom who loves to support my kids. Oh yeah and Root for the Cowboys to win along side my die-hard Cowboys fan Husband.

What color describes your personality and why?

Red is my favorite color. I’d say Red because it perfectly explains me. Bold, magnetic, and naturally commanding without trying. I thrive while expressing myself, being seen, and doing something that feels exciting. I give main character energy.

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

My name is Kealy Shae and I’ve been practicing my craft coming on 6 years. I really do believe I have the best job in the world. Nothing beats being able to empower women and making them feel their best.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I was that hung in the group that did everyone’s hair for a night out before I could even get ready.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

Probably chasing my toddler trying to get a clean diaper on her.

Blue. Im calm but fun. I want you to be able to relax and have a laugh.

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

Right now anti-humidity because duhh. There’s nothing good about humidity it feels awful and ruins your good hair day.

My name in Dakota Jo, I’ve been a stylist for over 3 years now! I specialize in “lived-in” balayage colors and am certified with IBE. I spend most of my days working or at the pig barn with my brother. My family and my cats are my world!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

My grandmother was a hairstylist since she was 16 years old, so I have been in and around the hair business my whole life. It just came natural to me; I get to be creative through all persons’ heads I touch.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

When I’m not enhancing people’s beauty you can usually find me at the school’s Ag Barn mentoring high schoolers with their pig projects for show, or at the lake with my family soaking up the summer sun.

What color describes your personality and why?

Lavender. It is soft and gentle just like my personality. It can also be a fun color to throw in the mix and add some spunk like me!

IRIDESCENT! Because of all the many changing colors and shine! When you enter my suite, you never know what you’ll get! I have a very shiny and sparkly personality.

I want to be the Wella Root Shoot because I lift people up like the root shoot and it smells delicious.

I started my magical journey into the glamor industry 20 years ago. I believe that every single person that visits my chair is a gorgeous, new canvas! Men, women and children … curly or straight … cut or color … I love any challenge and am committed to making everyone happy with how they look after I have seen them!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I have always had a major hair stylist inside me. All of my childhood dolls ended up with fantastic fingernail polish and low lights and things along those lines! My deep passion for transforming others to their best potential has grown through the years as I help others feel better about themselves.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

When I’m not working to bring out people’s natural beauty, I’m chasing my crazy kids around or watching movies with my awesome husband. I also try to find time for working on many various projects like repainting rooms, landscaping, restoring old furniture … the list could go on forever!

What color describes your personality and why?

I don’t see how I could choose just one color to describe myself. Tie dye would have to be the closest! I’m an explosion of all the bright and pretty things!

If you could be one hair product, what would you be and why?

It would be hair chalk – sometimes you just gotta bring a little pop of fun times wherever you go!

I’m 43 and have been in this industry since I was 18. I’ve seen styles come and go but I love it when clients do what they are comfortable in.

What inspired you to become a stylist?

As a young girl, I was a salon brat. My mom managed a salon and I loved being around all the stylist and soon began to dream of being a stylist.

What do you do when you’re not enhancing people’s beauty?

I’m a mom to 3 busy kids. You can find me at a softball or baseball field!

Green! It reminds me of abundant life … living and healthy!

What inspired you to become a stylist?

I was inspired to become a hairstylist because I’ve always loved the way something as simple as hair can completely change how a person feels. Watching someone sit in the chair unsure and leave glowing with confidence is powerful. I realized early on that hair isn’t just hair—it’s identity, expression, healing, and self-love all wrapped into one.

I wanted a career where I could be creative, serve people, and make a real impact in everyday moments. Being a hairstylist allows me to do all of that. I get to build relationships, be part of big life seasons, and help women feel like the best version of themselves. If I had to describe my personality as a color, it would be a warm, earthy sage green. It’s calm but confident—grounded, nurturing, and creative. Sage represents growth, balance, and quiet strength, and that feels so true to who I am.
